Rev. Takamasa Yamamura
About Our Guest Speaker
Rev. Takamasa Yamamura has an extensive background in music. He earned a master’s degree in music in 2003 from the graduate school of Showa University of Music in Japan followed by a Diploma in music from Santa Cecilia Conservatory of Music in Rome, Italy.
In 2008, Rev. Takamasa was installed into Ministerial Rank in Nichiren-shu Buddhism. He was an instructor of the retreat at Renko-ji Temple (Milan, Italy) and in 2009, trained to be an overseas minister at the Horin-ji Temple (Sarnath, India). He then made his way to Honolulu and in 2010 became the Head Minister of Honolulu Myohoji Mission.
Rev. Yamamura is multi-lingual and speaks, Japanese, English and Italian.
