Kailua Hongwanji Mission is sponsoring a retirement/farewell luncheon for Rev. David Nakamoto which will be held immediately after the Sunday Family Service, January 14, 2018 (about 10:30 a.m.). 

Kailua Hongwanji will join churches across Hawaii in honoring Queen Lili'uoklani, who passed away on November 11, 1917. On the 100th anniversary of her passing, bells statewide will toll in commemoration at 8:30 a.m. A short service will precede the ringing of the temple bell.

The Honolulu District Dharma Schools will be starting their new school year with a Registration and Pool Party on Sunday, August 13, 2017 at Hongwanji Mission School. Everyone is welcome ...please join us! Registration required.

Kailua Hongwanji will be at the Taste of Hongwanji bazaar held at Honpa Hongwanji on Sunday, March 26, 2017 from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm. We will be selling food items as well as these custom-decorated mugs.
