Today's Family Sunday Service recognized two important events: Peace Day in Hawaii, which was on Wednesday, September 21, and the Autumn Ohigan (Equinox), an observation of the seasonal change from Summer to Autumn.
Our Hatsubon Service was held on Sunday, July 10 at the temple. The Hatsubon commemorates the first obon since the passing of a loved one.
At our "First Sunday Dharma Service" on July 3, the youngens made these cool lanterns in honor of obon!
